Depth:
This photo represents the design principle of 'depth'. It leads our vision deeper into the photo, allows us to visually travel in further into it.
This picture has a sense of depression and destroyed underground level, which gives me a scary and dangered feeling about this picture.
It is balanced with many pillars and the colour and contrast makes this picture seem more balanced.
The lighting effect comes from the left side of the photo, which give us a sense of opened wall on the left, exposed to sunlight.
The whole picture has texture of roughness and harshness due to the dusty and destroyed environment.
The focus of this picture is the dark, deep middle point where the depth leads to.
The background is the rough pillar and ceiling , dustiness and spare bricks and woods make up an extra info on the background.
This photo is about a destroyed underground level where it hasn't been care by men for a while.
Diagonals:
This photo contains many diagonal lines that leads our vision further into a single point.
It has a depressing feeling into it, due to the black and white effect with a guy pulling a cart as a main subject.
